I’m Lisa Wells and I suffered with food addiction for over 10 years.
I had a ton of therapy, I was on antidepressants, I read a million self-help books and I did my own soul searching.
Nothing I did seemed to be permanent enough – I would have a therapy session and feel good for a few days, then I was back on the couch stuffing my face with chocolate!
Nothing I did seemed to foster lasting change – I would start a new exercise regime, that would last about 2 weeks and then I was back on the couch stuffing my face with chocolate.
Nothing I did could penetrate through to what I really needed – I would try really hard to eat healthily, but even within a couple of hours, I was back on the couch stuffing my face with chocolate.
What did I really need?
I have been to the lowest of lows and on my way back up I have discovered that there are 3 main things that are beneficial in overcoming obsessive overeating, binge eating and emotional eating behaviours:
1. Connecting to yourself
2. Facing yourself emotionally
3. Loving yourself anyway (regardless of what you are eating)
If you want help getting your eating habits back on track for good and start learning how to create more consistent healthy days for yourself…lets connect.
