At Chat Well Allied Health, we arrive every day inspired to make a positive impact to the lives of children and young people. We exist to help families live happier lives by providing fun, innovative and functional speech therapy services and have a strong emphasis on empowering kids to develop self confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning. Our team are dedicated and passionate about providing a client centred, strength focused and evidence based service aimed at unlocking your child’s full potential. We work with you and your child either in our clinic, home, education setting or Telehealth. We offer clinic services across two sites, Greenacres and Mawson Lakes.
// What were you doing prior to your business and why did you get started? I was a Speech Pathologist in London, United Kingdom. I worked at Guys and St Thomas’s NHS Trust within Central London. Although I was based in Central London, the boroughs which I worked in housed often the lowest socio-economic populations in England. I worked with children in mainly immigrant families during my time. I worked closely with these families to support and empower them through this process including upskilling them in areas of speech and language through parent coaching.My clinical experiences in the UK aided me to see an innovative service provision of Speech Pathology with an international flair to my local community. I felt that I could make a big difference to my community from new practices I bring from my international experience. This is where Chat Well truly began.
// What are you most proud of? The biggest achievement in Chat Well to date is the courage I have seen my team have taken to join me in growing Chat Well and learning from each other. I began as a sole trader in 2020 and as of 2022, we have 15 team members and growing. We are innovative and work hard to create an empowering workplace and culture. // What do you love most about working for yourself? Leading a high performance, passionate and innovative team and creating an impactful and positive culture. As Chat Well began from the ground up, we are lucky we have not started with a culture in place, we made it our – own – and with each team member that joins us will bring a new aspect of thinking and way of working which will further deepen our culture. // Do you have a fave place to spend summer/go to for coffee/ go to to relax/ go to for food?
