She is passionate about helping to promote businesses, so owners can focus on what they love best and does it all with her inspirational Junior Director by her side!

Tell us about your business, Crane Creative…
Crane Creative launched in July 2017 with the aim of assisting SME’s. We want to give businesses the ability to focus on what is really important to them by doing what they do best, and we do what we do best!
What do you love most about being in business?
The Flexibility.
I get to spend more time with my daughter Matilda (AKA the Junior Director), and I still make money for the family so we can sustain our lifestyle.
Have you always been Creative?
Yes, in various ways. I was very passionate about music growing up, I sang, played the guitar and did gigs around Adelaide and in Victoria. Then life got in the way, I had a total thyroidectomy, and my vocal chords have never been the same.
I guess, now I channel my creativity into my graphic design and out of the square thinking.
Who has supported you the most on your business journey?
My partner. He has been amazing. After the birth of our daughter, going back to full time work was never appealing. He gave be the freedom to explore the avenues I wanted to take, told me to go for it when I decided to launch Crane Creative.
We both work from home together and we are always bouncing idea’s off of each other and challenging each other as well.
What have you found most challenging about running your own business?
Switching off.
Sometimes I even dream about Facebook advertising.
We love to celebrate women, share with us one of your greatest achievements so far?
Starting.
If I had never started, I would not be where I am now!
Lets talk South Australia, What do you love most about doing business here?
South Australia is an amazing melting pot of some many wonderful businesses.
I have been lucky to have found businesses to collaborate with, and work with as a collective, bounce idea’s off of and refer me and I refer them.
Surrounding yourself with like minded people who support you is vital, in your personal and business life.
To say you will click with everyone is a dream, be selective and find the RIGHT people.
Where can we find you in Summer? Do you have a fave place to visit?
I love Semaphore, and my daughter loves the beach.
However, you will most likely find us in the Barossa at a cellar door trying all the Eden Valley Rieslings!
What advice would you give other women wanting to start a business?
Never lose sight of why you want to do it. Embrace the failures, embrace the mistake, these are lessons.
