My second middle-grade novel was published by Riveted Press in October this year – Legend of the Lighthouse Moon. It’s a very personal story. One that weaves nature, magic and history, set on the stunning Kangaroo Island. I’m very proud of it.

I also wrote and/or edited nine other manuscripts, two of which are coming out in 2025, with Riveted Press- On Gallant Wings on 2nd April and The Disappearing Circus co-written with Kate Gordon in August. My debut middle-grade novel The Rebels of Mount Buffalo was shortlisted in an award and longlisted in another. I went on book tour, spoke at schools and a wonderful event at Catalina Flying Boat Museum. I was an author pen pal, part of the hard-working Children’s Book Council of Australia-SA committee, a role model for Books in Homes. I won a mid-career Fellowship with the State Library of South Australia, supported by Writers’ SA and a SA History Trust grant for the manuscript I’m about to begin, and did lots of writing and author business. I have just launched The Author Fairy- a social media marketing and grant writing consultancy for authors. www.helenedwardswrites.com
As part of my Menopause Coaching program, I introduced a new group coaching series called the Midlife Mind Series. The first workshop, Me, Myself, and My Midlife Mind, was successfully launched at Partridge House in Glenelg this October.
Midlife Mind will also become a Podcast in 2025 along with monthly women’s wellness workshops around midlife, menopause, and beyond.
Stephanie Vaughan, Infinite Styling
This year I launched my EmpowerHer workshop series, collaborating with some amazing guest speakers. Each of my workshops was dedicated to a specific topic in which my guest speakers is a specialist in, and I brought in elements of styling to tie into each topic. My first session was with Kerry Pienaar Complete Communication Coach, followed by Melisa Byrne Naturopath, and the gorgeous Katherine M McLeod of Divine Woman Experience.
I have decided to rename and reformat my workshop events for 2025, so keep an eye out for Her Style Collective …I can’t wait to bring more fabulous topics and styling goodness to empower women in both life and style! There is also a private Her Style Collective facebook group in which all workshop attendees are invited to join and stay connected with myself, guest speakers and each other. Looking forward to growing our beautiful community in the new year.

What can you achieve? Compressing images, writing blog posts, and performing technical updates are just some of the things that business women have achieved during these sessions. I help out if someone gets stuck and I’ve been known to teach fixes to recurring issues that are mentioned during the sessions.

I sold a business. I hired 5 new team members in an existing business. And I laid the foundations for a new business launch (opening in 2025)!
Kylie Pengelly-Linke, Kylie Pengelly-Linke Strategist
Closing down and selling my dream business: The Roo & Elk (Stockholm’s first authentic Aussie Pub), after 6 years in business in 2022 was the beginning of a difficult journey. Re-defining my goals, my identity and my business!
2024’s word revealed itself to be Clarity, which saw me resign as Winery Events Manager at Taylors Wines and re-start my business, jumping back into the world of business coaching and strategy. Using all that I learned running a hospitality business during a pandemic as a solo-operator gave me an edge that I realised is invaluable. Finding my mojo again in this space has been confidence building and a massive energy boost. Being a part of the online Soar Together Program was a game changer. Being with a group of amazing women with a broad range of businesses was inspiring and so supportive.
So while 2024 has been a redefining year, one to slow down, stop and reflect, it is leading me into my next fabulous phase with so much enthusiasm. Kylie PL – Strategist is finding her wings to bring amazing, online courses, face to face workshops, 1:1 coaching, VIP days and Speaking gigs in 2025. All focused on helping and inspiring female business owners in the hospitality & retail realm build strong businesses with unique customer experiences, all following a super simple big picture plan that leads them to achieve their big audacious goals.
Grateful for what 2024 taught me and looking forward to putting all the knowledge into practice in 2025!

I’m gonna start with a buttkicker highlight for 2024
I’m gonna start with a buttkicker highlight for 2024
I tried to turn my then Pinterest growth membership into an online course. This was because people joining the membership had different levels of knowledge on Pinterest and content creation, so I thought a course would be better suited.
What happened next was I had a decent amount of interest in it, but I realised most people who enquired weren’t ready for Pinterest yet. They either weren’t creating content regularly, or their content wasn’t evergreen (lots of trending audio, Instagram focused content which I knew wouldn’t perform well on Pinterest)
So I ditched the course launch – even after running a free masterclass leading into it and building out Pinterest-specific lead magnets
It felt like I had failed, but I refuse to get crappy results for my people when I know they are capable of so much more!
I ended up broadening my offers to Content Marketing with a focus on repurposing. This switch actually helped me to attract clients who did the work and got results (rather than those who had shiny object syndrome, which was what I encountered when I was focused on Pinterest marketing only)
That’s how the Effortless Content for Sales challenge came to life – helping 9 creative businesses tweak their content to get real wins on and OFF social media. I even had someone from Norway sign up
I also said YES to visibility.
Guesting on 5 podcasts, participating in the City of Marion business week, being invited to present at an online summit in the UK and running paid (finally!) workshops for Resume Writers Australia as well as in memberships that I’m a part of.

Katherine McLeod, Divine Woman Experience
2024 has been the best year of my life!
All my dreams came true creating a life that I love, with people I love, doing what I love!
Creating the opportunity after years of manifesting every 8-8 for 3 years my dream of being free came true, feeling so healthy, wealthy and having the most loving connected relationships became my reality.
After 21 years teaching and since 2017 coaching and I finally at fifty created the dream life.
Moving to Normanville living in peace, spaciousness feeling so creative and free.
With immense gratitude I wanted to share the magic I used to create this dream life by leading retreats. Inviting the most gorgeous women to experience this magic I get to live everyday.
After years of feeling stress, burn out and chasing success I stopped and decided I wanted a different life of my own creation on a path of serenity and magic.
Leading retreats in Normanville was my dream and 2024 was the birth of this dream which I plan on being a global experience for everyday woman to feel in a weekend transformed in body, mind and soul. Being kinder to themselves and having recipe for a way forward that allows them to accept and acknowledge their value forever more.
So grateful I get to create this to give back the blessing I get to live everyday !

2024 has been monumental!
I spent 15 weeks travelling internationally with my husband, while maintaining a steady income from my marketing work.
Hubby and I bought our next business venture – Business Hub. Mawson Lakes
I was invited to speak on a panel at an event where Michelle Bridges was the keynote speaker.
I’ve been offered a position as a Business Advisor with the City of Tea Tree Gully Small Business Advisory Service for the next three years.
I’m preparing to launch my very own self-paced online course to help small business owners and volunteer-led organisations develop a simple but tailored marketing strategy, as well as a plan to put it into action.
And I ended the year with a 50th birthday celebration with a bunch of wonderful family and friends.
Bring on 2025!
Elaine Yong, Melvory

Emma Glenn, House of Mother

Kerry Pienaar, Complete Communication Coach
I went full time on my business 6 months ago. It has allowed me to create a new public speaking program which has been incredibly transformative for participants and so very rewarding and fun for me to facilitate. Kerry Pienaar from Complete Communication Coach. Happy new year everyone!
Charlotte Reimer, Earthyma
2024 has been an incredible and whirlwind year for me as I took on the leadership of a community advocacy group. It’s been a huge learning curve, and with so much focus on this important work, I haven’t had as much time for advertising or growing Earthyma on socials.
That said, Christmas orders were amazing! The support from returning customers has kept me busy, and I’ve had fantastic wholesale orders, including from House of Health and my incredible stockist, The Eco Station. This year, our relationship has grown even stronger, and I’m so grateful to collaborate with such amazing businesses.
Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to balance both passions—advocacy and Earthyma. As things settle with my community group, I can’t wait to continue growing Earthyma. I also have big plans to expand my studio space with a home extension. Here’s to a bright and exciting 2025!
