// What do you love most about being in business?
The aspect I love most about being in business is being able to work daily with individuals and businesses that have a vision and a goal.
I love seeing the success of other people and their dreams.
// Why did you decide to go into business?
I originally went into business in 1998 as I knew I wanted to start a family and wanted the choice of being at home while my kids were young and to be able to have the opportunity of attending school events, swimming and dance lessons etc.
// What were you doing prior to your business and why did you get started?
Before starting my first business, I was a personal assistant in a large corporate office. I loved my job and learnt a lot; however, I began getting bored and frustrated.
I had always wanted to run my own business. I saw a gap in the marketplace for good quality printing and design services that businesses could afford.
// Let’s talk South Australia, what do you love most about doing business here?
South Australia supports locals, that is what I love the most. Even though it is a big city, it has a country town community feel. There aren’t many places in the world like it!
// What is the best advice you have received that has stuck with you?
The best advice I have received is that hard work pays off and you need to focus your attention on what you want. Have tunnel vision and don’t take no for an answer. Be determined to succeed.
// What advice would you give other women wanting to start a business?
My advice would be to follow your passion but start small and don’t overextend yourself. Have a solid plan and loads of enthusiasm. People are attracted to a can-do attitude.
