Together we will elevate our South Australian women of today and our women of the future.

Since 2017, SA Woman has been here to create impact and shine a light on the contributions of women in South Australia and on the future, our girls.

We believe that all South Australian women and girls deserve the opportunities to forge their own path, in a business or in a career. We believe that connection is key to a sense of belonging, encouragement and empowerment. We believe that “we can’t be, what we can’t see”, and sharing the stories and paths of the women who walk beside us, is key to elevating the status of our women and girls and empowering us all to unleash our potential. .

Connect Her

We create opportunities for connection, belonging and support through our membership community, our varied events and our storytelling.
Community and Connection are key to a State where we truly see women supporting women.

Elevate Her

We elevate the profile of women and girls in businesses and careers, through our social media, blog, magazine, awards and advocacy.
We bust through ceilings, break down barriers and show what is truly possible, from right here in South Australia .

Empower Her

Through connection, community and elevating the achievements and contribution of the collective of women and girls across SA, we encourage her to grow and feel self-empowered to forge her own path. Nothing is impossible when we believe in ourselves.

“We can’t be, what we can’t see. SA Woman is here to show all women and girls what is possible.”

Meet an SA Woman.

Our members are the beating heart of all we do and believe in our vision of an empowered and equal future for our women and girls.

Odette de Beer – Amplify business coaching and consulting

Odette de Beer – Amplify business coaching and consulting

Hello there! I’m Odette, the heart and soul behind the Business with Altitude Summit. I work with dreamers and doers – visionary business leaders, dedicated executives, and specialists who are not just chasing success but are hungry for meaning. I do this because I want to see a world where businesses thrive by being hubs of positive change, where every decision is a chance to make a difference.

You might call me a Business Alchemist, and honestly, I love that title. It’s about turning the everyday into something extraordinary, isn’t it? I hail from South Africa and now call Australia home – a journey that’s given me a kaleidoscope of experiences and perspectives. So, what does a Business Alchemist do? I take the raw, unpolished parts of businesses, churches, and individual aspirations and turn them into gold. It’s about crafting strategies that don’t just work on paper but bring about real, vibrant change. I blend my love for business growth with my skills in Six Sigma and customer experience, all seasoned with a dash of consciousness coaching. But it’s not all strategy and no heart. I’m here to be your mentor, your guide, and your biggest cheerleader. Why do I wake up every morning excited to do what I do? Because I believe in the magic of transformation. Seeing a business or an individual unlock their true potential is exhilarating.

If you believe that business can be a force for good that sees the value in marrying profit with purpose, then we’re already on the same page. My clients are those brave souls who dare to dream of a business that’s as much about impacting lives as it is about the bottom line. It’s not just about changing businesses; it’s about changing lives, crafting legacies, and building a future we can all be proud of. Let’s not just grow businesses; let’s grow lives and nurture leaders who’ll change the world.

I know the future is bright. All we need to do is build a big enough community of like-minded visionaries, and we’ll be able to move mountains. If you’d like to join the movement and create magic in your life and business, it all starts over on my Substack. I will share insights on sustainable business practices, growth mindset, emotional intelligence, team building, overcoming challenges, and the use of technology to enhance customer experiences and productivity. Tammy Edwards – Tammy’s Table

Tammy Edwards – Tammy’s Table

A confessed extrovert and lover of freckles (the chocolates), I transitioned into a supposed semi-retirement nearly five years ago after selling my business, only for it to last a mere two weeks.

Passionate about business, I thrive on connecting, inspiring, and supporting individuals. My expertise lies in developing systems and processes to streamline and scale businesses. My philosophy is that every business owner should be in control, with the business serving them, not the other way around.

As a dedicated entrepreneur, I am committed to assisting fellow business owners in taking charge of their futures. This involves one-on-one coaching and facilitating business development groups.

What sets me apart is my firsthand experience. I built one of South Australia’s most successful conveyancing brands, a profitable and self-sustaining venture that required minimal hands-on management. My aim was to create a thriving business that could stand on its own and be sold as an asset upon my retirement in my 40s – a goal I successfully achieved.

Balancing personal life, family, and business is crucial, and I’m passionate about guiding my clients to create the lifestyle they desire.

Beyond business, I engage in activities that satisfy my extroverted nature, such as organising get-togethers with girlfriends, embarking on adventures with my daughter and hubby, acquiring new skills at art classes, and leisurely strolls around shopping centers (as a minimalist, I rarely make purchases but enjoy soaking up the energy of bustling crowds). Currently, I’m enthusiastically working through a “50 before 50” list, adding a delightful dimension to my life.

Karina McDonald – Connect Comms

Karina McDonald – Connect Comms

Hey there, I’m Karina, the creator behind Connect Comms!

I began this journey when I found my knack for helping business owners discover their voice and vibe with their dream audience. Connection is my highest value – I get so inspired when a message hits the heart with the right person.

Proud mum of two, it on my son and a little thing called divorce that kick started my business. When life threw me a curveball with my son’s quadriplegic cerebral palsy diagnosis and a 22 year marriage plot twist, I realised that time is too rich to be spent poorly. I ended my 14-year stint in corporate telecommunications, loaded up on learning through courses, and decided to do what lit a fire in my belly while creating a bright future for my kids.

Beforehand I was a team leader, ops manager, case manager, and training deliverer at Optus. Loved it, learned tons, but I craved a life where I could dance to my own tune, be flexible to my son’s needs, and find creativity in my work.

I’m also a fierce advocate for disability and have spoken on TV, radio, in newspapers and on podcasts in an effort to create change for the disability community and their carers.
