Shining a light on South Australia’s talented women and girls.

SA Woman Australia has a proud history of supporting the women of South Australia. With our strong and supportive membership community, our regular events showcasing the local talents of women in our state, the incredible Awards Ceremonies over the years allowing thousands of women to be nominated by their peers and recognised at a gala event and through the constant shout outs and shares across our social media – supporting the women of South Australia really is at the core of everything we do!

After a break from the successful SA Woman Awards, we are back to recognise the incredible contributions of women again – but this time? We are doing it in true SA Woman style! Through connection, showcasing and elevation of the wonderful women around us.

Women to Watch is an honour roll of incredible women throughout our state.

Traditional award ceremonies showcase a very specific version of success. After seeing so many nominations put forward for the 2022 SA Woman Awards (we are talking over one thousand) and only having 26 winners, we set about planning a way to highlight the achievements of more women doing great things and for longer than just one night.

Women to Watch will allow women to put up their hand and say “I am doing great things in my corner of the community”, without the focus on financial success, or wild business growth and without standing in front of a crowd of 500 to receive an award!

It recognises the contribution of volunteers, carers, business owners and women holding jobs and looks ahead at their goals and intentions for 2024.

We are so fiercely proud of our award recipients over the years and we want to share that incredible feeling of being recognised with more women throughout SA.

Our Women to Watch 2024 Partners

We wish to thank the following businesses and organisations who have gotten behind this initiative and are helping us elevate South Australian women and girls. Without their support, this would not be possible.

How can I get involved?

Nominate! Nominate! Nominate!

All women nominated as Women to Watch for 2024 will be collated into a showcase blog post with their name and business or organisation name. The overwhelming feedback from our Award Programs was that being nominated for an award was the most fantastic feeling and encouraged so many women to keep up the great work that they thought was going unnoticed.

We see the contributions you are making to our state and we celebrate you for them!

You can also become a partner. Reach out for our sponsorship opportunities.

How are women chosen?

All women nominated will have an opportunity to complete an Application Form. This form brings you the chance to share more about you, your career, your goals and aspiration and your intention for the year ahead. It also allows you to be selected as a Featured Women to Watch for the year!

As a Featured Woman to Watch, your headshot will be included on our Women to Watch website with a link to your profile and contact details for the public to learn more about you.

Throughout the year you will be shared across our social media channels and there will be added opportunities for promotion, Q&A’s, and sharing your expertise with the SA Woman Community.

Towards the end of 2024, we will check in with the Featured Women to Watch and see how the year has gone for them, before passing the torch onto the next round of women for the years to follow.

When does it open and close?

Nominations open for submission on Thursday 1st February and will close on Friday 8th March.
Applications will also open on Thursday 1st February and will close on Friday 15th March.

Is there a cost involved?

There is no cost involved in the Women to Watch 2024. We are passionate about celebrating women, regardless of their current financial situation and want to make this celebration as accessible as possible. It is our aim that through the support of our partners and our own volunteered time we can keep it at no or minimal cost to complete an application for years to come too.

If you are in a position to support Women to Watch as a Sponsor or Partner, please contact us at carly.lukacs@sawoman.com.au

Is there a prize for being a featured woman to watch?

This program is about recognition for your achievements, your plans for the year and the way you are showing up for women and girls in South Australia. For 2024 there will not be an “award ceremony” or gala dinner – and this is very much on purpose! We want this to be a true celebration of as many women as possible and the connections that you have the opportunity to facilitate are what makes this new venture so special.

We will provide social media graphics and badges that we encourage you to share wide and far as you celebrate this achievement throughout the year!

I want to nominate more than one woman, is that ok?

YES!!! Please nominate ALL of the incredible women in your life. We all know so many women who deserve recognition for the work they are doing, often outside of a standard success framework.

We see you, we celebrate you and we support you!!

Can I nominate Myself?

Of course you can! Celebrating your own success is a powerful skill and we encourage you to put forward your name and application in whatever way works for you!
