Meet SA Woman Member, Mel Jennings.
Business: Studio Finance Co
Job Role: Mortgage Broker
Tell us a bit about you:
I’m a mortgage broker and business owner with over 10 years in the finance industry. I started out as a receptionist and worked my way up, building a strong foundation in lending and client service along the way.
I’m passionate about helping people make smart, confident decisions with their finances – whether it’s buying their first home or building wealth through property.
I’m also a mum, so I understand how important flexibility and the right financial structure can be. I love connecting with like-minded women and supporting more females to grow in the industry.
Tell us a bit about your business:
Studio Finance is a mortgage broking firm supporting first home buyers, growing families, property investors and everyone in between. With over 13 years of experience in the finance industry, I’m committed to delivering a highly personalised experience, not a cookie-cutter solution. Every client’s situation is different, and your strategy should reflect that.
Backed by strong relationships within the real estate industry, I provide seamless guidance whether you’re purchasing your first home, upgrading, investing, or renovating. My role is to offer clear advice, well-considered options, and ongoing support to ensure my clients move forward with confidence.
I believe the best outcomes start with genuine conversations. Whether we meet over coffee or connect for a consultation, I take the time to understand client goals and building a trusted, long-term relationship.

Let’s get to know you a little more.
What has been a lesson you learnt in your career or business that has stayed with you?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is that it’s not just about the numbers, it’s about people. Early on, I thought being good at my job meant knowing policies, rates, and structuring deals perfectly. But over time, I’ve realised the real impact comes from understanding someone’s goals, fears, and what they’re actually trying to build. Every client’s situation is different, and taking the time to listen properly always leads to better outcomes – both financially and personally.
What is your favourite place in South Australia to visit?
