Find My Van is an independent online caravan brokerage business. The customer completes an enquiry form on the website outlining what they are looking for. The team at FMV then set to work with their contacts in the industry sourcing and securing their dream caravan at a much lower price than they would pay on the high street.
The alternative is attending many showrooms or private sales locations, listening to a multitude of a sales pitches from a variety of sellers for the caravans they want to sell rather than the caravan you want to buy at a higher price than the average Australian wants to pay. Our service is completely independent and free to the buyer.
I was a Police officer for 19 years prior to setting up my own business. In January 2021, I faced health concerns and underwent intensive Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), during which I took an extended period of leave from work and decided to buy a caravan and travel around this beautiful country.
I would say waking up to beautiful sights and sounds of the sea every day certainly sped up my recovery and I would recommend it to anyone struggling with their mental health. It gave me so much time to reconnect with my family and many “thinking” opportunities which as you can imagine, were few and far between as a busy mother of 3 and a full-time police officer.
It was following this trip I decided to resign from the force and Find My Van was born.
My biggest inspiration was my therapist Jenny Podorozhnaya of Positive Future Self. Going to see a therapist can be quite daunting for most, and I include myself in this, but when you find a therapist, you connect with and whose mission is empowering people to be the best version of themselves, you can’t help but feel energised and refreshed. Jenny is an incredible woman who has been with me throughout my journey. It’s a huge honour to now refer to her as my good friend and confidant.
My Mantra for this year is something I saw on Instagram on a Strong Women post. “Remember growing might feel like breaking at first” author unknown.
