I am a mum of three young children, living in the North-Eastern Suburbs with my husband. We don’t do anything in half measures, buying our first house & moving in when I was 38 weeks pregnant with our first child. We then proceeded to do home renovations and an extension with 2 kids under 4 along with starting a home business.
Somebody once told me (while asking for help) that “if you want something done, ask a busy person”. While I don’t glorify being busy, that statement, originally made by Benjamin Franklin, has always resonated with my life.
Chalki Digital was birthed from a friend needing a website built. I had the skills and thought why not? Another friend then asked for help designing their logo. Again, I thought sure, why not? Since then, Chalki Digital has evolved into an all-around Digital Marketing business helping with websites, branding and social media. I also currently work as a Marketing Coordinator for a bespoke home construction company.
// What do you love most about being in business?
I love helping other sole traders and small businesses grow online in a way that is strategic and sustainable. I also love being able to partner with clients who have similar values to me.
// Share with us how life has changed since being in business?
Since being in business I have completed a home extension and welcomed another child to the tribe, all during a pandemic. It’s been a crazy but rewarding few years.
// What do you love most about working for yourself?
I love the flexibility of time that working for myself brings, being present for my children while also building a business.
// Do you have a fave place to go to relax?
I love exploring our magnificent conservation & recreation parks with my three young children. If I had to pick one favourite, it would be Morialta Conservation Park. Nothing elevates my mood like a nice walk on a beautiful day.
