I am the director/lawyer of Roach Corporate Law based in McLaren Vale. Our office practises in most areas of commercial law, including disputes and commercial litigation. I head up our commercial litigation area and Alice Tester of our office heads up our commercial area. We enjoy what we do and are passionate about delivering legal advice in a caring. nurturing and non-judgmental way.
Prior to commencing with Roach Corporate Law in 2019, I worked with medium tier city firms and I also practised in Melbourne and in Brisbane.
Outside of work I spend time with my little boy and enjoy going to parks and beaches with our two dogs.
// What do you love most about being in business?
I enjoy being able to help people and mentor junior lawyers. It gives me a sense of pride and purpose also running the business.
// What do you love most about your role?
I enjoy being able to assist those that really need the legal help. Disputes and the legal system can be extremely daunting so to be able to help others in that process is what I enjoy the most. Getting a great result for the client is even better.
// What led you to the career you are in?
Watching “LA Law” and Ally McBeal!!! And then realising the law and law firms are absolutely nothing like that!!
// What do you love most about working here?
I have worked in Victoria and in Brisbane but nothing said home to me like SA. I love SA and I love the passion and loyalty South Australians have.
// What is the best advice you have received that has stuck with you?
Don’t worry so much about what others think of you and what others do think of you is “none of your business”
