Delivering Joy helps you to support your friends and loved ones, in a unique and meaningful way, during situations and life events when you are left not knowing what do say or do.

Founded in 2020, Delivering Joy was created from an idea to help a friend undergoing treatment for cancer. I wanted to support her and show I cared, but no gift or option seemed fitting or right. I came up with the idea to text her every day for 30 days with something to make her smile and laugh – Delivering Joy was born.

Our signature product, the 30 Days of Joy packages, are sent daily (via MMS) to uplift and support your friends and loved ones – designed to be a daily touchpoint to show you care, when they really need it the most. Support your friends and loved ones through tough times, such as cancer, illness, parenting, grief and so much more. There are different package options and messages can consist of humorous memes/jokes, affirmations and inspirational quotes themed around strength, love, care and support.

It’s like a bunch of flowers but lasts longer!

We also have our Inspiring Affirmation Card set, which is a great tool to inspire living a life of intention and joy. Perfect for your own wellbeing toolbox, as well as being a great gift. The cards provide questions, affirmations, prompts and phrases to encourage reflection, joy and intentions setting. Use for daily affirmations, intention setting, journal prompts or reminders to live mindfully.

We are based in Adelaide, delivery available in Australia (contact regarding international delivery).

// What do you love most about being in business?
I love that I can use my business as a vehicle to spark more joy in people’s lives – in little ways, that mean a lot. The work lights me up because it is designed intentionally to connect, uplift and support others. It feels good to create products that DO GOOD and help people in a meaningful and heartfelt way.

// Why did you decide to go into business?
Delivering Joy was born from an idea I had to help my friend, Emily, who was undergoing treatment for cancer. I wanted her to know that I was thinking about her every day, but she didn’t need physical gifts and I wanted something more meaningful and long-lasting.

I knew that laughter and humour can provide such a healing force and a way to take her mind off her reality, even if momentarily. I couldn’t find anything out there that provided what I wanted, so I came up with a unique and heartfelt gift myself – The 30 Days of Laughter. This consisted of a text message a day for 30 days, sent directly to her phone each morning with a message or link to a funny meme or video – to make her laugh and smile, to shift her focus and bring some joy. She looked forward to receiving them every day.

When she passed away, I knew that I needed to turn my idea into a service, allowing others to meaningfully support and uplift their loved ones going through tough times too, when often we don’t know what to do say or do. Delivering Joy was born!

// What has been your biggest inspiration?
Hands down, this would be my friend Emily. Her journey taught me so much in a short space of time…. To really live your life, find what brings you joy and go do more of that. Don’t wait for the “right time”, just go and do what you feel pulled to do, make an impact – leave the world a better place, be kind and love much.

// Do you have a fave place to spend summer/go to for coffee/ go to to relax/ go to for food?

The beach is my go to place to calm and relax. As a family, we have been holidaying in Moonta each year and it has been a lovely family tradition that we all look forward to – sun, sand, water and relaxation!

// What advice would you give other women wanting to start a business?
Just start. Having an idea for a business is one thing, but the thought of starting can be a real roadblock. Surround yourself with other people doing great things, hire a coach if you need to – to help you move forward, but then…just give it a go! What have you got to lose?

// Share with us a quote or mantra you live by…
Breathe, this is when you truly come back to yourself – Delivering Joy

Intentionally pausing and breathing, no matter what is going on around me or for me, is the best way for me to come back into my body.
