// What do you love most about being in business?
I love the freedom and the sense of achievement that having my own business provides me. I can be creative and try new things in my business which keeps things fun and interesting. It also allows me to meet new people all the time and hear their stories which I find really fascinating. Knowing that I have created something from the ground up is a really good feeling.
// Share with us how life has changed since being in business.
Life has certainly changed, no two days are the same that is for sure. With the range of clients that I have the work is constantly changing and keeping things interesting. It has been an immense learning curve in all areas of business and this continues every day. I am always thinking about ways to expand and improve the business so there is no more 9-5 day in day out. I can work on my own schedule and have more flexibility which I love.
// Who has supported you the most on your business journey?
My family have been my biggest supporters on my business journey and I have very grateful for them all. They have all supported me in different ways and have been sounding boards for ideas which I have had and given suggestions on different ways to do things which I hadn’t thought of. They have been through the highs and kept me going through the lows.
// Let’s talk South Australia, What do you love most about doing business here.
I love that everyone in South Australia is passionate about South Australia and where they can they generally try to support the local businesses which makes running a business in South Australia so rewarding. People also generally want to see others succeed and are willing to help in any way they can which is really nice. Coming from a corporate back ground this is not a side I saw that often so it opened my eyes and taught me a lot.
// What advice would you give other women wanting to start a business?
If you have an idea and passion for something just go for it. The timing, finances etc may never be completely right but just start, you will find your wings on the way!
