Adriana Fernandes – Catalyst Growth Partners

Adriana Fernandes – Catalyst Growth Partners

I’m a Brazilian-born Australian living in Adelaide for over 22 years. With a background in Chemical Engineering, and marketing, and an MBA, I’ve spent over 18 years optimising business operations and have successfully started, grown, and sold a small business.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a proud parent to a high school son actively involved in the basketball team. I love dogs and have fostered many greyhounds as they retire and transition into their new lives as pets. I’m a no-nonsense person who prefers to skip small talk and get straight to the point. I thrive on learning new things and am always eager to share my knowledge and experience with others.

Susie Ford – Let’s Just Be Fabulous!

Susie Ford – Let’s Just Be Fabulous!

After years of working in the corporate world I am still intrigued as to why some people cannot see their potential. Seemingly, they lack confidence and make negative choices unaware of their insecurities and fears.
Through experiences and research, I developed processes that enabled me to see the souls who, without help, may never in this lifetime recognise their detrimental beliefs, and patterns of behaviour. Those that have been absorbed into their subconscious mind, and unconsciously being played out.

When hit by my own adversity, through adult eyes, I came to see clearly my own damage! The effect it had on the course of my life and the love I deprived myself.
Ultimately, I recogised the subconscious beliefs I took from my parents and other significant influences, from early childhood.

I was a Master of Imitation! Like many of us!

Certified in NLP, CBT, and using modalities of brain science, transactional analysis and positive psychology, I guide others to develop their self-awareness, have realisations and most importantly gain clarity.
Of what they absorbed from the impact of past conditioning through early childhood,. And with a conscious mind lose the fears and gain the confidence, they need to move towards what they aspire
to be and have in this lifetime.

Zoe Jones – Coastal Community Support Services

Zoe Jones – Coastal Community Support Services

After a successful 21-year career as a qualified hairdresser and salon owner, I transitioned into a new path due to a shoulder injury that prompted me to leave the hair and beauty industry. During my tenure, I not only managed my own salon and trained apprentices but also worked as a trainer at Bite on the Side for four years, utilising my Hair and Beauty Trainer certification. Alongside, I volunteered as an ambulance officer and earned a Certificate 2 in Medical Emergency Response.

Seeking to remain engaged with the community, I pursued a Certificate 3 in Disability and subsequently worked with Community Living Australia for four years. This shift in focus was driven by my desire to enhance care standards and support for individuals.

My academic journey includes a Certificate 3 in Disability Support, Certificate 4 in Beauty Therapy, Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment, an associate degree, and an Undergraduate Certificate in Community Support from the University of Tasmania.

In January 2022, I founded Coastal Community Support Services from my home office, relocating to our current location at McLaren Vale Shopping Centre in May 2023. This venture embodies my commitment to creating environments where individuals receive exceptional care and support.

I am also a mother to two daughters, aged 11 and 13, and a stepmother to a 10-year-old. Our household also includes two exchange students, my partner Andrew, and our beloved dog Diesel.

Tanya McNamara – Raine & Horne Adelaide City and Salisbury

Tanya McNamara – Raine & Horne Adelaide City and Salisbury

I am excited to join this women in business network and share my journey of (trying my best) to balance a fulfilling career and family life. As a mother of two teen daughters, I strive to be a role model for them, demonstrating that it’s possible to successfully manage both personal and professional aspirations. I deeply enjoy volunteering and have built my business around the principle of being hands-on in raising my family, giving back to, and participating in my community and being the best professional self I can be.

Years of working in finance in managerial roles, projects and as an investor have uniquely prepared me for my current position as Director of Operations for Raine&Horne Adelaide City and Salisbury. My background has equipped me with the skills to understand and meet the needs of our clients, vendors, landlords, tenants and staff. This expertise has facilitated my transition from the private sector, where I worked for large international businesses, to collaborating with my husband, Trinity McNamara, in building a business we are immensely proud of.

*Note I do not personally do sales or property management, my role is purely operations, business growth and compliance. But I can refer you to one of my valuable staff who can assist you with any enquiries. Or you are always welcome pop in to have a coffee with me and a team member and we can talk out your scenario together.

Alexandra Sim – Alexandra Sim Coaching

Alexandra Sim – Alexandra Sim Coaching

I’ve been coaching women for 12+ years and now specialise specifically in leadership development and in implementing efficiency systems within their businesses. We usually do a combination of mindset coaching and strategic coaching, with the main focus on supporting you to streamline your role so that you can do more of what you love and less of the things that are leading to overwhelm and burn out! I have 2 businesses myself (coaching + a brick & mortar service-based business) and live in the Adelaide Hills. I’m a mum to 3, and family is the main reason I’ve streamlined my businesses and help others to do the same (I want to say a big, confident YES to attending sports days, having hot dates with my husband, going on adventures and generally enjoying life together!)

I’ve been an SA Woman member for 6 years (inc. being an SA Woman award winner!) and am proudly a 2024 Woman to Watch. I am a qualified Human Design consultant, am a Clockwork Certified Partner (efficiency coach recognition – the only one in Australia!), have a Bachelor in Health Science (Neuroscience because I love the way the brain works!) and am currently studying a Masters in Business (leadership & entrepreneur focus).

Along with being Mother to 2 Adult sons and ecstatically in love Grandmorther of 2, I am protective of my inner circle of girlfriends who contribute to life adventures.

Travel is in my blood and I grab any opportunity to do so.

I am both a health survivor (having been given only 2 months to live in 2012) and a domestic violence survivor (having fled in 2021)

Helen Edwards – Helen Edwards Writes

Helen Edwards – Helen Edwards Writes

I’m an Adelaide-based children’s author who weaves diverse stories of nature, magic and history. My debut middle-grade novel, The Rebels of Mount Buffalo was published in October 2023, by the award-winning Riveted Press, distributed by Simon and Schuster. It’s a captivating time-slip tale in which a girl lost to grief meets a daring rebel on a misty mountain who guides her to rediscover her courage and find her way home. The Rebels of Mount Buffalo was longlisted in the inaugural DANZ Children’s Book Award for books which feature diversity in all forms.

I have a PhD in Psychology and a long background working in mental health. I write stories that reduce stereotypes and increase understanding of diversity, including characters who live with chronic illness, mental illness, and/or who are neurodivergent. I write stories that reflect our Australian environment, culture, and history. I have been blogging since 2001, after founding an award-winning online counselling service for people with diabetes, which I ran for 16 years. Over 100,000 people follow me across social media, where my platforms share book reviews and inspire action for people and planet, with kindness and hope, focusing on our children’s future.

I have won a number of awards, including being a South Australian State Finalist for Australian of the Year for my work in diabetes. As well as The Rebels of Mount Buffalo being longlisted in the DANZ, I was winner of the ZestFest writing competition, a special mention in the inaugural Deep Creek Fellowship, and short-listed in the inaugural SA Literary Fellowship.

I am an experienced speaker and have presented talks and workshops locally and internationally across a wide range of topics. I am a member of Writers’ Vic, Writers’ SA, Qld Writers Centre, Women’s Society of Writers Victoria, ASA, CBCA and SCBWI. I am part of the Author Pen Pals initiative and an Ambassador for Australia Reads and a Role Model with Books in Homes. I am passionate about inspiring action for our beautiful, fragile planet and nature features in all of my books. I find history fascinating and uncover stories that may have been forgotten, or hidden, and bring them into the light. My second novel, Legend of the Lighthouse Moon, will be published in October 2024 and my third in April 2025.

If you’re looking for a children’s author who speaks from the heart, who laughs loud and loves deep, who is passionate about people and planet, and who understands we come in a glorious rainbow of human beings, I’m your person.

Hayley Towers – Towers Legal

Hi, I am Hayley Towers and I run my own micro law firm, Towers Legal.

I am a business lawyer, operating virtually for clients all over Australia. I have 18 + years of legal experience and I do all things contract, risk and compliance, employment, and even disputes.

My clients are usually “bigger” or regulated small business owners who need that extra bit of legal help on an on-going basis. I love to form ongoing relationships with business owners, so that we can work together holistically, often in step with your business accountant.

I live in the Adelaide Hills with my husband and two boys.

Stacey Wallace – Hand to Life Therapy

Stacey Wallace – Hand to Life Therapy

I’m Stacey and the Owner of Hand to Life Therapy and absolutely love what i do.

I love helping people, I love seeing the smiles on people’s faces and hearing how excited they are when they see things from a new perspective.

For me, there is no greater feeling than the gratitude of knowing you have helped a fellow human being experience something that they thought was out of reach.

I’ve had my own personal struggles in life, but they have helped shape who I am today. I would do it all over again if I had to because they’ve brought me to where I am now: helping people negotiate the sharp bends and twists and turns of life as they approach the next phase of their journey.

In 2015, my life was good, but I felt I needed to be in a different place of my life. I wanted to be a helper, to help people be authentic in their own lives. To be in control of their own lives and to be living the life they want to live.

So, I enrolled in a Diploma of Counselling. I loved every minute of it and went down some tracks along the way.

I was very interested in Anxiety disorders and I won a ticket to a 3-day conference with a lovely man called Dan Brown. He changed my life and lead me onto a journey of Hypnotherapy which in turn lead me to NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and Coaching.

Wow, did my view of the world; of my world change…

My name is Sally Carruthers and I’m a Professional Home Organiser and Declutter Coach based in Adelaide, South Australia.

I am a mother, partner and cat owner.

I love reading, baking and painting.

I am also directionally challenged, so even after 10 years in Adelaide (originally from Newcastle NSW) I still get lost! haha

I started my business because I wanted to help others by lifting the burden of clutter from their shoulders and allowing them to breathe again.
