Meet SA Woman Member, Caitlin Thomson.

Business/Organisation: Dandelion Business Support
Job Role: Director

Tell us a bit about you:

Hi, I’m Caitlin and I own Dandelion Business Support. I am a virtual assistant for allied health professionals who are looking at moving their business to the next step through outsourcing their admin or creating systems in their business. I am a previous social worker, who had to stop working full time, because my children needed additional support. Both my children in 2023 were FINALLY approved for NDIS and both were diagnosed with ASD. I am a choc-o-holic, lover of reality TV and I’m in my reading era!

Tell us a bit about your business or organisation/role:
I help allied health professionals effectively manage their practice by creating tailored systems and resources, so they can grow their practice and influence in the community. This could be specialised admin services, standard operating procedure (SOP) creation, system builds on Powerdiary, Halaxy or equivalent or employee onboarding.

Let’s get to know you a little more:

What has been a lesson you learnt in your career or business that has stayed with you?
Not to be too sensitive and take things to heart. Sometimes, business is business and you need to separate yourself from your business. My people pleaser personality has taken a bit of a restructure!

What is your favourite place in South Australia to visit?
Adelaide Zoo

Why is being part of SA Woman important to you?
Connection is so important to me, especially being a mum to a young family, who have additional needs and runs a business from home! I’m very quick to get in my own head and I need some ladies around me who get it.

What is a quote or mantra you live by?
Just because it’s hard, doesn’t mean its wrong.
