Nicola Benson – Beautifully Authentic

Hello!
I am an Environmental Scientist, Beauty Therapist and Mother, that decided to turn all her passions into a business by accident.

I am from Cornwall in the UK and moved to Australia in 2013 to live here in Adelaide with my husband. Since then, we’ve had 2 children, a dog and a cat, and absolutely love our life here.

I love reading, surfing, roller skating, bike riding, going on adventures, camping, exploring, and meeting new interesting people.

When I left school in 1998 I became a beauty therapist, and that’s when I first learnt about formulating skincare. Since then I’ve been making variously concoctions over the years, especially when I went to uni in my mid 20’s to study Environmental Scientist and discovered more about sustainability and the environmental impacts of the choices we make.

I found that it was only since I became a mother with a child with reactive eczema that I really created my award winning formulas, that have changed ours and many people’s lives.

Hi I’m Flic

I moved to South Australia 14 months ago and we haven’t looked back.

I purchased a successful lash academy 12 months ago as my passion is leading, mentoring and supporting women in business to reach their full potential. We have our own premium lash supplies that we sell to other lash artists and I have just started taking on clients in SA with lashes and brows.

I have 3 children and have the most supportive husband.

I’m known as Mel…Born in the Mid North Region, raised in the Murray Mallee, nature was my playground as there was literally nothing else! We decided to settle down in the Barossa in 2011 and have since made it our boys home town.

I am a business owner, mother of three boys, wife, sister, aunty, the list goes on, you know how it goes. I love my garden, being in the kitchen pottering around cooking or brewing up something DIY with my oils and Young Living goodies, day dreaming, op shopping & collecting a great neglected TBR pile.

I am a creative person who finally found my passion five years ago when I discovered the beautiful blend of science and creativity. After returning to study in my late forties I qualified as a Cosmetic Chemist and have a passion for formulating organic skincare. I fell into this work while working with my cousin Megan Potter in our cosmetics business. I started to make a cleanser and facial oil for our makeup workshop attendees, and it was these two original skincare products that attracted a lot of attention, and lead my drive to learn more about making skincare.
I have three three teenage sons who are all taller than me and don’t seem to stop eating! My biggest supporter is my fabulous husband who has my back every step, whether upwards or downwards! I have spent most of my life in Adelaide however had a wonderfully warm 12-years in Queensland during my 30s. I have previously formulated skincare for the Megan Potter brand and Romance Minerals, and am now working on creating my own line of facial skincare products which I can’t wait to share with everyone.
I love taking time each morning to go for a walk or go to PT, then take some time to read before the ‘proper’ work begins.

Tara Kate Tauba – Tara Kate Arts Therapy & Studio

Tara Kate Arts Therapy was established in 2017 by Tara, Inclusive Arts Therapist, Visual Artist and Founder. Tara noticed there were barriers for people with disability and those in supported aged care to be involved in meaningful activities that promote wellbeing.

With the support of her extensive qualifications ranging from a bachelor degree in visual arts and design to qualifications in arts therapy, training, disability, business, and health and lifestyle, Tara embarked on bringing arts therapy to the Barossa Valley and surrounding areas.

Since then, Tara has continued to evolve and grow her arts therapy services to support the changing needs of the community, combining her passion to connect people with the power of arts therapy in healing and wellbeing. This includes bringing a new focus and establishment of a space for clients to participate in self-expression in a safe and supportive environment.
